Creating a Safer Home for Retired Greyhounds

Whittingham Kennels Retired Greyhounds has been awarded a grant from the Anthony V. Martin Foundation to help improve the safety and wellbeing of the retired greyhounds in its care.

The charity is dedicated to providing retired racing greyhounds with a safe and secure environment while they await their forever homes. Every dog deserves the opportunity to enjoy a happy retirement, and the team works tirelessly to ensure each greyhound receives the care, comfort, and attention they need.

The Foundation's grant will contribute towards replacing the kennel fencing, which has become worn and unsafe over time. The existing fencing is too low in places, creating a risk of dogs jumping over, while damaged sections with sharp edges also pose a potential hazard to the greyhounds and those caring for them.

By installing new, secure fencing, the charity will be able to provide a safer environment for the dogs, giving both the animals and their carers greater peace of mind.

The Anthony V. Martin Foundation is proud to support Whittingham Kennels Retired Greyhounds and the important work they do to give retired greyhounds the safe, happy future they deserve.
