Celebrating Maria’s Animal Shelter at the BBC Radio Cornwall Make a Difference Awards

We are delighted to share that Maria’s Animal Shelter, one of the wonderful charities supported by the AVM Foundation, was recently nominated for the Animal Award at the BBC Radio Cornwall Make a Difference Awards.

AVM Trustee, and proud Cornwall resident, Carolyn Trevivian was delighted to join Maria on the night to celebrate this well-deserved recognition. The nomination is a fantastic acknowledgement of the incredible work Maria and her team do every day to care for animals in Cornwall, and we are so proud to support her ongoing efforts.

We would also like to extend our congratulations to the category winner, Maxine Young from Truro, who was recognised for her outstanding work as the volunteer co-ordinator of Dog Lost Cornwall, a charity dedicated to reuniting missing pets with their families.

Being nominated alongside such inspiring individuals and organisations is a true honour, and we look forward to seeing Maria’s Animal Shelter continue to thrive and make a difference for animals in need.

A big thank you to BBC Radio Cornwall for hosting such a fantastic event and for shining a spotlight on so many incredible causes across the region.
