Brent Lodge Wildlife Hospital
Brent Lodge is a wildlife hospital near Chichester that treats thousands of injured and orphaned wild animals every year. The team is as committed to sustainability as they are to animal care: in 2024 they installed 51 solar panels across two hospital buildings, part of a wider effort to reduce operating costs and environmental impact while ensuring animals receive uninterrupted care throughout the year.
This grant will fund battery storage systems to complement those solar panels, allowing surplus energy to be stored and used overnight and through the winter months — making the hospital more resilient and more self-sufficient.
