Supporting StreetVet’s Vital Work
We are delighted to award a £15,000 grant to StreetVet, a remarkable charity delivering free essential and emergency veterinary care to the pets of people experiencing homelessness across the UK.
1 in 4 people experiencing homelessness has a pet. StreetVet ensures those animals remain healthy, happy, and by their owner’s side. Their work is run by experienced vets and vet nurses, and all outreach locations are registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Through their Accredited Hostel & Day Centre Scheme, StreetVet helps pets and people access safe accommodation together.
Their dedicated volunteers work on the streets, in hostels, and at community centres, building trust with owners and ensuring pets receive vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchips, and urgent care when needed. For many, these animals are their only companions — and StreetVet’s support is often life-changing for both pet and owner.
We’re proud to be contributing to their nationwide service provision this year. You can learn more and see the impact of their work in this powerful 1-minute video:
